Martin Henley is the owner of The Effective Marketing Company, an enthusiastic speaker and exponent of taking charge of your business through effective sales and marketing.
Martin Henley has been marketing and selling professionally for more than 25 years - before then he was doing it personal advancement.
Martin cut his teeth in boiler room sales environments: cold calling tens of thousands of people every month and engaging with thousands of prospective customers every year.
Having spent ten years selling in famously difficult markets - magazine advertising, exhibitions, conferences and Information Technology Martin founded his marketing business in 2005 on the premise that sales had always had all of the target and none of the budget whilst the marketing teams had all of the budget and none of the target.
Running The Effective Marketing Company has enabled Martin to share the challenges and successes of more than 1,000 customers whilst also developing himself as an International Speaker, Conference Speaker, Motivational Sales Trainer, Social Media Trainer and Digital Marketing Lecturer.
Martin is on a mission to take his students and audiences on a journey to sales and marketing success. Martin is always looking for creative and fun ways to deliver the content that will provide students and audiences with the skills they need as well as the confidence and motivation to actually put those skills into practice.
In the last 8 years Martin has been running around the planet delivering certified digital marketing courses for the DMI, visiting places as interesting and diverse as Jamaica, Mauritius, Malta, Cyprus, Egypt and Ireland. Martin has worked with some great education partners and taught hundreds of students. It is always a huge privilege to visit with people and play a part in educating and motivating them to go on and have great sales and marketing careers.
More recently Martin has been driving content for his popular and successful YouTube channel - interviewing the worlds most gracious and successful sales and marketing thinkers and providing practical guidance through his marketing jargon busting series.
