WHAT CLIENTS SAY
“Neil came into work with us at a critical stage in our business, when we were in pressing need of a revised strategy, better unity at board level, and clarity over board roles. Neil was extremely supportive and helped provide a very valuable wide-angle perspective to see what the best next steps were.
He ran a series of focussed workshops which helped us clarify our vision and values. He also helped us shift our focus from operational to strategic, and put in place some key markers to help us assess our success in achieving this shift. Neil also provided some very helpful 1-1 consultations, enabling each director to feel supported. He was able to offer a great deal of flexibility due to some unforeseen delays on our side.
Having completed our work with Neil there is a far greater degree of clarity around director roles, and improved processes around board meetings and decision-making. The positive impact has trickled down to the rest of the company. As the staff are clearer about what we do and why, there is a greater sense of cohesion and goodwill than we have experienced for some time.” Joby Waldman, Managing Director of Reduced Listening
“I’ve known and worked with Neil for almost 20 years. We co-facilitated an induction programme "Training for Newcomers at the European Institutions" with each other in the early 2000s. Since then, we've both grown into the roles of soft skills trainer and facilitator.
Neil is an excellent professional. He is talented in, at the same time, managing the dynamic of the group, giving specific attention to each participant and delivering the key training messages.
Neil is able to manage any training challenge. He juggles with the reality happening in the training room and still follows his programme. He's never destabilised and faces difficult situations with his typical sense of humour. Not a British one but a Scottish one of course!
Some years ago, I became Project Manager of a large EU framework contract in which Neil is participating as a trainer. I discovered new elements of his professionalism: Neil is responsive, not afraid to face new projects. He is good at processing the participant's feedback: defending his point of view, negotiating and simultaneously accepting the comments he could learn from.
The training courses Neil is giving are 'Writing with impact', 'Analysing and Problem Solving', ‘Working in Teams’, ‘A Step Towards Creativity’, 'Oral Communication' and 'Day-to-Day Negotiation'. His results are very good, reaching almost 90% satisfaction every time.
Looking forward to working with him for many more years.”
